James LoBianco

Obituary of James LoBianco

James J. LoBianco, 86, of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of May 6, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. The son of Providence Guida and Joseph LoBianco, he was born on September 28, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY where he also grew up. He was a Navy Veteran, serving our country on the USS Worcester during the Korean Conflict. Formerly of Bay Shore, NY, he was retired having worked many years as a Supervisor for the L.I. Defense Contractor AIL. He was married to Eleanor T. Ryan who predeceased him by only a few weeks on April 14, 2020, both having succumbed to Covid-19. Their beloved daughter, a Suffolk County Police Officer, Laura D. LoBianco predeceased them both in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking and taking care of his yard. He had the best lawn in the neighborhood. He was happiest in the company of family and friends and was always ready to lend a hand or his expertise to help in anyway he could, from renovating rooms to fixing rungs on a cradle. He was known to tell a good joke and had a quick wit about him that would make you smile. He loved being with the Grands, it made him happy to make them giggle with a silly face or joke. Our hearts are broken that he is no longer here with us, but we rejoice knowing he is safely home and in the company of beloved family and friends who have been waiting on him at the Gate of Heaven. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by loved ones. Sister, Elizabeth Trotsky of Rancho Mission Viejo, CA; nieces, Debbie, Regina, and Paula of CA; the VanJahnke Family of Dingmans Ferry, PA; the Graffagnino Family of L.I., NY; the Ambrico Family of NC and many friends. Plans for a Veterans Memorial Service at the National Cemetery on L.I. will take place when a date becomes available. Memorial contributions in his honor can be made to Wounded Warriors, or any organization of choice benefiting our veterans. Arrangements are entrusted to Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA (www.stroyanfuneralhome.com).
