Richie and I first met when we were about 13 and were pretty good friends through out our teenage years. I remember when he first met Christine and I knew she was going to be the one for him. I could see it in his glow.
I remember the time when we were kids and he asked me to come over and meet his new pet monkey that he kept it in his bedroom at his parents home in a cage. Only Richie could pull something off like this.
I remember one time we went to Jones Beach together with a group of our friends and Richie made believed he tripped on a short flight of stairs and rolled down them in order to startle some of the general public in the area. A real practical joker. Another time after just going to High School we went to a supermarket together to buy a few things when out of nowhere he said loudly near other shoppers "we're shopping for food for our apartment" He was always thinking about doing and saying outlandish things.
My deepest condolences to Chris, Patty, Gayle and cousins Arty and his brother.
Rest in peace my friend till we meet at again.

Back in Junior High School Ricky and I had quite the Tom Sawyer type adventurous childhoods building motorbikes, shooting pellet guns, building that hydroplane boat that would sink when not moving, finding first girl friends, making the Greenwich Village scene at with our fake IDs when it was THE SCENE, etc. etc... My thoughts also go out to Patty and Gail who were probably responsible for that loyal, warm and loving part of his heart that not everybody saw.

Richie was a great guy who did a lot of tree work for me over the years. I will miss him a lot..

I am very sorry to see that Richie is no longer with us. I would always wave to him when I saw his black van. He and his crew did a fine job removing some trees for us in the Spring of 2022. Richie was a friendly guy that was telling my husband how he did tree work in the cemetery where Louis Armstrong is buried. My sympathy to his family, friends and co-workers.
