Donald E. Anthony, 72 of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away suddenly at home on April 15, 2026. He was a retired Administrative Warehouse Clerk for Wakefern Corp., Allentown, PA   Donald was a lifetime member of the Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Although in recent years he could not enjoy the sport due to his declining health.  He also loved a good game of horseshoes and playing Santa’s cousin for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The son of the late Butch Southern and Mary Conklin, he was born May 6, 1953, in Sidney, NY. Donald married Magda (Rivera) Anthony on September 16, 2006, in Middletown NY after being coworkers and best friends for 10 years.

Donald loved his family more than life and cherished every moment he was with them.

Donald leaves behind to cherish his memories, wife Magda at home and his only son Michael Anthony and wife Lisa. He inherited 3 bonus daughters that he cherished Esther Roman (Gil), Francesca Grogan (Chris) and Monique Brown (Cameron). His grandchildren Michael Anthony Jr., Lia and Hunter Anthony, Stephanie Martin and Michael Roman, Hunter and Travis Grogan, Jasmine Lopez, Cameron and Amel Brown.   His absolute greatest joys were his great grandchildren. He leaves behind his sisters Barbara Roberts, Judy (Tom) Mead, Kelly Gunther and Denise Thompson Perry and several nieces, nephews and friends that were like family. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers William, Gerald Allen, and Jobie Conklin

A celebration of life will be held on May 2, 2026, at the Middletown Elks Lodge

 48 Prospect Ave Middletown NY 109040 from 1pm-4pm

Memorial donations can be made to Fishing Friends an organization to give kids a chance to fish, learn and grow @fishingfriendsinc.org   Or any organization of choice.
