David Joseph Rossetti, Jr. Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we honor the life and legacy of David Joseph Rossetti, Jr., who passed away on March 6, 2026, in Tamiment, Pennsylvania.
Born on October 6, 1942, in Easton, Pennsylvania to David J. and Matilda (Ehasz) Rossetti, David lived a life defined by hard work, a deep love for the outdoors, and an unwavering commitment to his country and community.
David was a man who answered the call of duty time and again. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1966, a period that shaped his character and instilled a lifelong sense of patriotism. His dedication to others continued throughout his years in Savannah, Georgia, where he served as a fireman and first responder, standing on the front lines to protect his neighbors.
Dave was employed for 35 years at Riegel Paper Corporation and its successor companies in the Finishing Department at the Warren Glen Mill and in the Construction Department at the Milford Mill where he performed many duties including heavy equipment operator.
When he wasn’t serving his community, David was most at home in the quiet of nature. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who found peace in the woods and on the water. His precision and passion led him to become a dedicated member of the American Trapshooting Association and was a member of the NRA.
David’s greatest pride was the family he built and the loved ones he leaves behind. His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, Mary (Robinson) Rossetti; children, David and Frank Rossetti; stepchildren, Dawn Coughlin and Brant R. Johnson; grandchildren, Anthony and Alex Rossetti; Matthew Johnson; and Brendan and Jack Coughlin and siblings, Sister Gloria Kreidler and brother James Rossetti.
Cremation was privately held at the convenience of the family.
David Joseph Rossetti, Jr. lived a full life of 83 years—one marked by the roar of heavy machinery, the quiet of a morning hunt, and the steady heartbeat of a man who cared for his people. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337 (www.stroyanfuneralhome.com).
