Dianne Albrektsen, 79, of Lords Valley, PA, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2026.
Born June 16, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marianne (Iverson) Morrison. She was predeceased by her husband, Andreas Albrektsen.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Albrektsen; her son, Glenn Albrektsen and his wife, Carol Ann; her grandchildren, Connor and Kaitlyn; her sister, Judy; her niece, nephew and their families; and her brother-in-law, Ernst Martin Albrektsen along with his family in Norway.
A Licensed Practical Nurse, Dianne dedicated much of her life to nursing. She was known as the family historian and loved sharing stories that preserved generations of history. She celebrated her grandchildren’s accomplishments, including Connor’s graduation from SUNY Maritime and Kaitlyn’s graduation from the St. Joseph’s nursing program and passing of the NCLEX. She also took interest in Andrea’s flute lessons and musical pursuits. Dianne and Andreas shared a deep appreciation for their Norwegian heritage, and she especially loved wearing her traditional Bunad.
Viewing will be held at the Church at Hemlock Farms, 98 Willow Dr., Lords Valley, PA on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Church at Hemlock Farms, Lords Valley, PA on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 12 NOON with Rev. Herbert Jacobsen officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, PA.
Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
