Edward Michael Adzima Obituary

Edward Michael Adzima, born in Wallington, New Jersey on March 4, 1948, Mother Ann, Father Edward Adzima, sister Ann-May Bara All have passed on to eternal rest.

Survived by his devoted, loving wife, Kathy Ann (Foglia) Adzima of 47.5 beautiful years, together they built a wonderful, love-filled life centered on faith, family, and unwavering commitment to God.

He was a proud and loving father to Tommy and his wife Joanie, Larry and his wife Mary and Ann-Marie and her partner Ben. His greatest joy came from being Pop-Pop to Christina Deanna, Dane, Shane and his wife Chelsea, Sarah, Jenny, and Emily. He was also blessed to become a great-grandfather to Hunter, Riley-Ann, Penelope, and Declan, and many each of whom brought him immeasurable pride and happiness.

Edward was the church organist at St. Mary's Assumption Church Passaic Nj for 43 years. Music was woven into the fabric of Edward’s soul. He was a Jazz Pianist most of his life He loved writing songs, singing from the heart, and playing the piano. His gift for music was not just a talent but a ministry, one he generously shared with others.

A stockbroker for many years. Edward became an English teacher on August 19, 2004, his students called him Mr. A., and he absolutely adored them. He believed in them, encouraged them, and saw potential where others might not. Many will remember his patience, his passion, and the way he made learning feel meaningful. He had a passion for tending to his aquariums and pet fish, from which some of his grandchildren’s fondest memories with him were made.

His legacy lives on in the music he created the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be remembered always for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and the way he made those around him feel valued and deeply loved.

Edward lived with a quiet but steady faith. He trusted in God through every season of life and now rests peacefully in His presence. While his family mourns his loss deeply, they find comfort knowing he is at home with the Lord, surrounded by eternal peace and light. Go way Poppop!  We love and miss you so much, Amen

Cremation was held private at the convenience of the family. Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
