John C Murray, Jr. Obituary

John C. Murray, Jr., 88 of Milford, PA passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was a retired Plumber from Plumber Local #200, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY and past member of the Atlantic Steamer Fire Company, Oyster Bay, NY.


John was the consummate do-it-yourselfer who built both of his homes and never stopped working on them. They were his passion. He also spent many hours working with his model train collection which he never quite got working to his high standards but still loved them. 


The son of the late John and Julia (Lamberton) Murray, Sr., he was born May 3, 1937, in Glen Cove, NY. John was married to Mary (Klinger) Murray on October 31, 1959, at St Dominic’s, Oyster Bay, NY.


John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Mary; three children, John Murray and his partner Christina; Stephen Murray and his wife Lynne, Julie Murray; seven grandchildren Ryan Murray, Patrick Murray, Katherine Murray, Paige Murray, Brian Murray and his wife Jill, Stephanie Hubert and her husband Derek, James Murray; two step grandchildren Jonah and Trevor Richardson, and four great grandchildren Adelynn, Emelia, William and Andrew.


Family will receive friends at St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, PA on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, PA on Saturday February 7, 2026, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Joseph Manarchuck officiating.


Memorial donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, (www.stjude.org) or a charity of donor’s choice.
