With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Joseph Wilshusen—a beloved husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend—who departed this life on December 22, 2025.
Born on September 10, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, Edward was the cherished son of the late Edward F. and Madeline (Stoll) Wilshusen. He shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Carol (Ogar) Roof-Wilshusen.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Edward carried the values of honor and commitment throughout his life. He continued his legacy of service as a stationary fireman with the New York City Fire Department, dedicating his career to the safety of his community.
Edward was also an esteemed member of the Marine Corps League, where he found great camaraderie with his fellow veterans.
Edward’s warmth and kindness leave a lasting mark on all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carol; his devoted sons, Edward Wilshusen II and Joseph Henry Wilshusen; his cherished daughter, Raquel Lynn Wilshusen; his beloved grandchildren; and circle of friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania. A service to honor Edward’s life will follow at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Brian Nichols officiating, concluding with military honors.
