Carmela T. Barbagallo Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carmela (Chick) T. Barbagallo, who left us peacefully on November 29, 2025.

Born on January 29, 1942, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Lucean and Marie Grace (Pepe) Castelli, Carmela lived a life filled with love, dedication, and community spirit.

Carmela was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother,  aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

She was the proud owner of Cedar Ridge R.V. Center in Branchville, New Jersey, where she cultivated not only a successful business, but also meaningful relationships with customers and friends alike.

Her legacy is one of devotion—to her family and to her community—and she will be remembered for her generous heart and unwavering support. Carmela’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was small but mighty. She loved gathering with Montague Seniors, loved her puppies and attending church at St. James in Montague and St. Thomas in Sandyston.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Glenn Barbagallo and his wife Elizabeth, Joseph Barbagallo and his wife Michele. Grandchildren: Melissa, Gina, Joseph II and Taylor. Great grandchildren: Rosario, Mason, and Brady as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family held a private cremation. Memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please donate to charity of your choice. Some of Chick’s favorites: St Judes, Lupus Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337 (www.stroyanfuneralhome.com).
