Valmiro “Val” Ascari, Jr., of Milford, PA, formerly of Paterson and Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025.
Born on July 15, 1946, Val grew up in Paterson, NJ, and proudly served in the United States Navy.
After his military service, he pursued a career as a Mechanical Engineer, where his dedication and skill left a lasting impact.
Val is survived by his former wife, Vee Ascari; his children, Brian Ascari and Sharon Ruela and son-in-law, Phil Ruela.
He was also a proud grandfather to Danielle Ascari, Carter Ruela, and Noah Ruela, who brought him immense joy.
A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, Val never missed a chance to cheer on his teams. But nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He’ll be remembered for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and the sarcasm he shared so freely. Val’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
