Steven William Knapp, 56 of Shohola, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Son of the late William and Margaret Helen (Michell) Knapp, Steven was born on November 21, 1968 in Honesdale, PA.
Steven is survived by his brother, John Knapp, and his wife, Bernadette, of Shohola, PA; his nephew, John Knapp Jr., of Brooklyn, NY; his niece, Katie Knapp, of Greenville, SC; and by Jeffrey Barnes of Greeley, PA, his cousin and best friend-more like a younger brother. His cousin, Lois Devereaux, of Shohola, PA, held a very special place in his life, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Upon graduating Delaware Valley High School in 1988, Steven began his career working with his Uncle Pete Kestler as a well driller. He was a charter member of the TOP Hunting Club. Steven truly enjoyed the outdoors and spent most of his time hunting and fishing, but he was deeply passionate about bowling, softball and especially golf, activities through which he formed many lifelong friendships. Those who shared these moments with him will forever cherish the memories.
Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, Big Humungous Steven, Steve-o, Stevie, Knapper, Big Steve. Whatever you called him or whatever name you knew him by, you knew him as a kind, good-hearted and gentle man. Family to many, a friend to many, and someone who was always there when you needed him.
Cremation will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
