Mary Ann Butler Obituary

Mary Ann Butler, 81 of Milford, Pa passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at home. She was a retired Advertising Executive for Times Herald Record, Middletown, NY


 


Mary Ann had spent many years as the Executive Director of the Tri-State Chamber of Commerce.  She was a proud member of the Board of Directors of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for many years. She was also very involved with the Orange County Chamber of Commerce. 


 


Mary Ann was an avid golfer, a talented gardener, voracious reader and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to travel internationally many times. She had a passion for entertaining and made a beautiful home for hosting family and friends. Mary Ann's strong faith helped her battle Parkinson's Disease in her final years with optimism and grace. As varied as her interests and accomplishments were, her passion and greatest pride was her family. Her most cherished roles were wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.


 


The daughter of the late Louis and Evelyn (Riker) Monisera, she was born October 20, 1943, in Callicoon, NY. Mary Ann married Glenn Butler on November 18, 1961, in Port Jervis, NY.


 


Mary Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Glenn Butler; two daughters, Donna Braunstein (Howard) of Punta Gorda, FL, Linda Lowell of Milford, PA; grandchildren, Tiffany Hafler (Josh), Daniel Braunstein, Timothy Braunstein (partner Hannah), Lah-Juan Drayton, Ryan Lowell (partner Shaina), Rae Lowell (partner Lu) and great grandchildren, Annabelle Hafler, Lillian Hafler and Oliver Hafler.


 


Family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM. A Memorial service will follow at 4 PM with Rev. Harold Butler officiating.
