Arlene Judith Chaikin, 81, of Lords Valley, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2025.
The daughter of the late Jack and Frieda (Fruchman) Donin, Arlene was born on April 22, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. She was married to Allen Chaikin.
She was a loving wife, mother, and Gaga, who touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication.
Arlene devoted much of her life to supporting others, especially through her work as a special education teacher’s aide. Her compassion and patience were evident in her tireless efforts to help those with disabilities.
She was a devoted caretaker for her daughter, Kimberly, who lives with Williams Syndrome, embodying strength and unwavering love every day.
Beyond her professional and family commitments, Arlene was an active member of the Williams Syndrome Association where she contributed her time and heart to children and adults with Williams syndrome
A lover of animals and a connoisseur of self-care, Arlene took great pride in always looking her best. She was rarely seen without her hair, nails, and makeup perfectly in place, reflecting her vibrant and confident personality.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Allen Chaikin; children, Lisa Flaherty and husband Jack, Keith Chaikin and his wife Jessica and Kimberley Chaikin; grandchildren, Nicole Brezovsky, Jake Chaikin, Michael Chaikin, Alyssa Chaikin and Samantha Chaikin; 2 great grandchildren as well as a host of friends.
Arlene’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and grace. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
Friends may call at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337 on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 12 pm to 2:30 pm. Services will follow 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Rabbi Johanan Bickhardt officiating.
Burial will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Cemetery Rd, Matamoras, Pennsylvania 18336.
