Virginia Ella Bouwmans, 92 of Lords Valley, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA.

After completing her education, Virginia worked as a secretary for American Express. She left the business world to raise her family. She returned to work as a real estate agent for Hemlock Sales Agency, where she worked for years. She moved to Davis R. Chant Realtors and continued working until the age of 80, when she retired to spend the twilight of her life with her loving husband.

She went on to spend many years enjoying family gatherings, sporting events, dinners out, holidays and life in general. You could often find Ginny on the sidelines at a soccer, baseball, or lacrosse game, watching a great grandchild on the field.

Daughter of the late Earl E. and Mildred G. (Wentworth) Maxfield, Virginia was born October 29, 1932 in Belfast, Maine.

Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Sandy Kaplan of Old Bridge, NJ and Susan Henrickson and husband Dan of Yardley, PA; one son Scott Bouwmans of Lords Valley, PA; four grandchildren, Ronnie, Cory, Rachel, and Danielle and eight great grandchildren, Lucas, Philip and Logan, Sawyer, Harper, Colton, Pierce and Nolan. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Deacon Philip Bouwmans, her daughter Stacey LoDolce, and grandsons Michael and Andrew.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 5-7 PM at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 705 Route 739 , Lords Valley, PA 18428 with Rev. Binesh Joseph Kanjirakattu officiating. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery, Milford, PA.
