Arnold Charles Schuff, 96 years old, of Rowland Pennsylvania, passed away on August 27, 2025. Born on January 15, 1929, he was a devoted husband to Helen (dec. August 6, 2001), a loving father to Arnold (Spouse Jean), Karl (Spouse Jill – dec. 2005) and Christina (Spouse Joseph). He was also a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren - Cherilyn, Christine (Spouse Brendan), Arnold (Spouse Kristen), Karl (Spouse Elayna), Ashley (Spouse Sal), Christa and Joseph - and was great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren - Niall, Aiden, Maura, Beckett, Hazel, Keira, Ember and Austin.

Arnold was a printer by trade, operating a linotype machine to set type for ads and articles in many major US publications. He often said that setting type was an art, and he took great care to ensure that his work was visually appealing to the reader. He was also a member of the National Guard and enjoyed telling stories about the different towns and people he met as he traveled through the Northeast with the Guard.

Although he lived in New York, Arnold would spend many weekends at his parents’ home in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania was his passion, where he put the same enthusiasm he had for his trade into helping his father with work around the house. Weekends in Pennsylvania also allowed Arnold to devote more time to his hobbies. He loved target shooting and hunting, hobbies that took up much of his free time. He was a long-time member of the Hillview Rod and Gun Club and was thrilled to move to Rowland when he finally retired in 2001. In retirement, he was able to really enjoy another of his hobbies – woodworking. Arnold could take the roughest piece of discarded wood and create something beautiful from it.

Arnold would light up the room wherever he went, telling stories and making people laugh. He had a one-of-a-kind personality and will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. He is survived by his children (and their surviving spouses), grandchildren (and their spouses), and great-grandchildren.
