Jean Reilly, 85, of Shohola, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday August 15, 2025, at Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ. She was born in Slatington, PA on April 05, 1940, to the late William and Josephine Miller. Jean resided in Bronx, NY before she and her husband relocated to Shohola in 1995.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted friend, and authentic soul who positively influenced those fortunate enough to know her. She was a long time boater on Long Island Sound known for swimming in water too cold for most to enter and for hosting evening get-togethers with friends aboard her and her husband’s boat.
Jean was a 1958 graduate of Slatington High School who enjoyed a long career as an executive assistant at Apple Bank, Gutmann Cutlery, and Pike County Correctional Facility. After retiring, Jean volunteered at the Public Library in Milford, PA.
Jean is survived by her son, Thomas Reilly and his wife Patricia of Hopewell Junction, NY; grandchildren, Daniel Reilly, Matthew Reilly, Meagan Reilly, and Bryanne Reilly; sisters, Gloria DeBenedictis, Phyllis Bonsignore, Janet Gassler, and Josephine Paar, and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Henry T Reilly, son, William Reilly, and brother, William Miller.
Her family will always be grateful for her love and devotion.
Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.
