Michael Edward Bowen, 64, of Milford, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at home. He was a retired truck driver for over 30 years and a proud U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1979 to 1987.

Michael—also known as “Mike the Mayor”—had a personality that was truly one of a kind. He always had a smile on his face and was known for making everyone around him laugh. He had a natural way of turning strangers into friends and loved being around people. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, swimming in the pool, jamming to rock music, and attending concerts. Michael cherished his family, friends, and pets above all else and never missed a chance to show it.

The son of the late Francis and Lorraine (Fritzinger) Bowen, he was born November 16, 1960, in Jersey City, NJ. He was married to Lourdes (Kyota) Bowen on October 29, 1983.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lourdes; his daughter Cassidy Bowen; sisters, Linda Kirby and her husband Jack, and Kathy Gillan and her husband Eddie; brother, James "Jim" Bowen and his wife Dora; sister-in-law, Maria Bowen; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert "Bob" Bowen.

Michael lived with humor, heart, and an open spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him

Family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 12 to 2 PM. Military Honors will be conducted at 2 PM.
