Barbara C. Schwartz, age 84, of Lords Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. Born on February 17, 1941, in Newark, NJ, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Louie and Pauline (Neiman) Andl.

A dedicated professional, Barbara served as the Secretary to the Chief Ranger for the Upper Delaware National Park Service, where her organizational skills and warm demeanor made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community.

Barbara was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—reading, crocheting, and cooking for her family. Her kitchen was often filled with the delightful aromas of her culinary creations, especially during the holiday season, which she cherished most of all. Christmas was a time of love and laughter for Barbara, as she gathered her family and friends to celebrate the spirit of togetherness.

In her personal life, Barbara was a devoted wife to her husband, Howard Schwartz. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and kindness. Barbara is survived by Howard, her two daughters, Denice Rauschmeier and her husband David, and Stephanie Wilson and her husband Dana, as well as her stepdaughter, Valerie Fitzgerald and her husband Joe. She was a proud grandmother to Christopher Perry and his wife Tanya, Kayla Junkin and her husband Eric, Steven Rauschmeier, Nicole Rauschmeier, Dylan Rauschmeier, Alex Wilson, Kimberly Wilson, and Ethan Wilson, and a cherished great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.

Barbara's legacy of love and compassion will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. John Neumann Church, located at 705 Rte. 739, Hawley, PA 18428, with Rev. Binesh Kanjirakattu officiating.
