Obituary of Patricia Ann Hoare
It is with great sorrow that the family of Patricia Ann Hoare report her passing on May 10, 2025, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Family was the beacon of her joy and happiness.
Patricia was born on March 13, 1947, in Rye, NY to the late Robert and Mary (Walsh) Donnelly.
Patricia was a loving, gentle soul who had immense compassion and was always willing to help anyone who asked. She didn’t have an easy life, but she stood strong in her faith in God. She was a parishioner of Saint Ann’s Church in Shohola, PA.
Patricia earned a Bahcelor’s Degree in Business at the American International College, accelerating her studies to graduate in three years so she could marry the love of her life, William Hoare on April 12, 1969, in Spring Valley, NY. She remained faithfully by his side up until his passing in 2022.
Patricia loved to cook, read and garden. She devoted many years as a Girl Scout Leader and CCD instructor while her children were young. She loved animals and nature, never shying away from attempting to rehabilitate any wild creatures her children or grandchildren brought home.
Above all, she loved her family who were her greatest joy. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and was fond of sharing their accomplishments with everyone.
Her radiant smile would light up the room and you couldn’t be near her and not feel the love she had for life.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patricia Hoare Greenhalgh (Harry) of Andover, NJ, Jennifer Hoare of Hackettstown, NJ and Aimee Hoare Bem (John) of Greeley, PA; grandchildren, Katy Bem, Harry Greenhalgh, Billy Greenhalgh, Marcia Bem, Mackenzie Greenhalgh, Mary-Kate Greenhalgh and Crystal Bem; sisters, sister-in-law, Brenda Hoare Sands; nieces and nephews and beloved Husky, Sierra.
