Mary R. Beisel, 65, of Lackawaxen, PA, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes Barre, PA. Mary was a caregiver at heart, who loved spending time with her grandsons, chasing after her dog Trixie, canning various foods, knitting, and enjoying the outdoors.

Born on May 20, 1959, in Merrick, NY, Mary was the daughter of the late Francis and Doris (Thorning) Johanson. She was married to the late Albert G. Beisel.

Mary leaves behind her loving daughter, Amanda Hager, and her husband, Joshua; her three cherished grandsons, Degan, Zane, and Xander; her beloved dog, Trixie; and her siblings; Judith McDevitt, Kathleen Beisel, Patricia McCue, Denise Steuhl, Frank Johanson, James Johanson, Christine Fey, and Tina Augella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her beloved son, LCpl Jacob Beisel, and her husband of 43 years, Albie.

Calling hours will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Edward Casey officiating. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family in Lackawaxen Cemetery.
