Obituary of Carol A. Carton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol A Carton, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend, who peacefully passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at home in Milford, PA surrounded by family.

The daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Toupet) Wahlers, Carol was born on October 17, 1941, in Orange, New Jersey. She was married to Richard Carton in May of 1963 and together, while living in West Orange, NJ, raised three wonderful children.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devout husband, Richard Carton and her daughter, Lisa Nixon; Brothers, Theodore, (Maureen) Henry, (Diane) and Nick Wahlers, Sister-in-law, Marcia Moore (Clarence); Grandchildren, Anthony, Carmen, and Brianna D’Aiuto. Preceded in death by her son, Richard Carton Jr., and daughter, Jennifer Francisco.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at The American Legion in Newton, NJ on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at 1:00 PM where family and friends are invited to share their memories and honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
