Obituary of Raul Sirel

Raul “Roy” Sirel, 80, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania and formerly of Bergenfield, New Jersey passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Prior to retirement, Roy was a Pitney Bowes Serviceman in Pinebrook, New Jersey.

The son of the late August and Helmi (Pillau) Sirel, Roy was born on July 5, 1944, in Estonia. He was married to Mary (Franks) Sirel for fifty years and remained by her side until her passing on June 7, 2022.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Lida Sirel; brother in law, John “Jack” Franks and his wife, Sharon; nieces, Michelle Franks, Heather Franks Martinez and Rachel Hendricks; nephews, Jason Sirel,  John Franks and Matthew Franks; great nieces and nephews, Dakota Hendricks, Christopher Franks-Ford, Sabrina Hendricks, Aaron Crosby, Jesse Micah Crosby, Azalea Martinez, Avery Martinez, Adrian Matinez, Amari Martinez, Gabby Franks and Gunnar Franks; great great nephews, Wayne and Christopher as well as cousin, Reet Hayden.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arno Sirel and John Sirel.

Friends may call at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337 on Wednesday,  April 16, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the funeral home with Reverend Niels Nielsen officiating.

Burial will follow at the Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania.
