Obituary of Ellen M Orben

It is with great sorrow that the family of Ellen Mae Orben reports her passing on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. 

She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, Mom Mom, sister, aunt, partner and friend. 

The daughter of the late Edward N. and Mae (Merdes) Lloyd, she was born on March 28, 1951, in Port Jervis, New York. 

Ellen worked as a Registered Nurse for the former Mercy Community Hospital in Port Jervis, New York, then was a devoted School Nurse for the Delaware Valley School District for over twenty years. 

Ellen actively served as the Treasurer for the Milford Garden Club and was an avid Mahjong player. 

In her free time, Ellen would enjoy travelling near and far with her family and fiancé. 

Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé Bill; her children, Kimberly Orben, Janine Howard and her husband Jake, as well as their father, John Orben; grandchildren, Addison, Liam and Braden; brother, Raymond Lloyd; sister, Karen Lloyd; sister-in-law, Cathie Jo Jacobson; nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. 

Cremation was privately held at convenience to the family. 

Friends may call at the Milford United Methodist Church, 206 E Ann St, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337 on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 PM. 

Memorial services will follow at the church at 12 PM with Rev. Thomas Mortenson officiating.
