Obituary of Edward A Ryman

It is with the greatest sorrow that we share the passing of our loving husband, father, poppy, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Edward A. Ryman. On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, New York, Edward was surrounded by his family as he took his last breath. 

Edward was the operator and President of Coflex Incorporated in Shohola, Pennsylvania. 

In his free time, Edward could often be found at the local car shows, admiring the craftsmanship of the vehicles he would see. Edward loved ocean fishing, Penn State football, and sitting in his garage, watching the world. 

The son of the late Allen and Mary (Drasher) Ryman, Edward was born on March 16, 1951, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He married Geraldine (Hughson) Ryman on September 27, 1969. They experienced 55 years of love and companionship together.   

Together they raised two children, welcomed three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. 

Left to cherish Edward’s memory are his loving wife, Geraldine Ryman; children, Edward Ryman and his wife Anastasia, and Dawn Metzger and her husband Theodore; grandchildren, Madison Mendivel and her husband Josue, Jordan Metzger and her significant other Matthew Adams, and Logan Ryman; great grandchild, Nico Mendivel; brother, Maurice Ryman and his wife Jackie; sister, Kaurice Siggins and her husband Mike; several nieces and nephews as well as a large host of friends. 

Edward’s time on Earth may have ended, but his spirit, memories, and love will live on for eternity. 

Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Milford Cemetery, Milford, Pennsylvania.
