Obituary of Brenda Lee Chabot

Brenda Lee Chabot, 73, of Milford, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 2, 2025, at Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis, New York.

Born on September 4, 1951, in Weehawken, New Jersey, Brenda was the daughter of the late Alfred and Julia (Ackerly) Schneider.

Brenda was known for her love of soap operas, where she could always be found engrossed in her favorite shows, as well as her signature black nail polish that she wore with pride. She had a warm and welcoming spirit; those who knew her fondly remember the many mornings and afternoons spent with her over a cup of coffee keeping a close eye out for the hummingbirds coming to the feeder. Brenda loved to invite friends and family to enjoy coffee with her, making crafts, sharing stories and laughter, and making each moment feel special.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Taylor), her husband Ron Shaw, and her grandchildren: Michael Teller, Matthew Teller, Brianna Teller, and James Holsclaw. Her great-grandson Landon Holsclaw. Her sister-in-law Charlene Joseph, her nieces: Kimberly, Danyel, Brandy(Chris), Melissa, Joy and Holly. Her nephews Wayne(Martha), Kevin, Charles, Willard(Melissa), and John. Also, many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Chabot, and two daughters, Jennifer Taylor and Heather Teller and her brother-in-law Wayne T. Joseph.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been held privately at the convenience of the family.

A private family celebration of life will be held in honor of Brenda at the Knowlton United Methodist Church with Brenda’s nephew, Pastor Willard S. Joseph officiating.
