Obituary of Linda Ann Simerson

Linda Ann Simerson, 82, of Sparta, NJ, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Linda was a retired Procurement Officer at Picatinny Arsenal in NJ.  She was a loving Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother & Great Grandmother.  Linda enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her interests included vacationing at the beach with her family, going to the casino, playing bingo, arts & crafts and cooking.  Linda had a passion for making homemade ravioli every year for the holidays with a recipe handed down from her Grandmother.  A tradition the whole family enjoyed being involved in.  Linda loved children and animals.

Daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Casazza) Colucci, she was born on October 10, 1942 in Newark, NJ. She was married to Leon Nye Simerson who predeceased her in 2011.

Linda is survived by her sons, Leon Simerson and wife Carol, David Simerson and his wife Gail, Steven Simerson and his girlfriend Janeth Encarnacion, grandchildren, Leon Simerson and his wife Nicole, Marissa (Simerson) King and her husband Jason, David Simerson, Nicole (Simerson) Sayre and her husband Matthew; great grandchildren Cole Simerson, Rogue, Jolene & Logan King and she was expecting her fifth great grandchild this coming March.

Cremation will be held private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
