Laura Ann DeRose Obituary

On Sunday, February 9, 2025, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Laura Ann DeRose, passed away at the Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing in Matamoras, Pennsylvania.


 


Laura loved crafting, especially quilting.  She loved quilting blankets for many charitable organizations.


 


The daughter of the late Grazio John and Anna (Minghella) Canessa, Laura, was born on June 16, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York. She was married to Joseph H. DeRose who predeceased her on July 11, 2016.


 


Together, Laura and Joseph raised eight children.


 


Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rosemarie Richter, Patricia Feinberg, Annette Martin, Donna Glynn, LauraJean Innella, Louann Jarrell, and Susann Hilton; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Emily Blevins; and a host of friends, whom she considered family.


 


She was predeceased by her son, Joseph DeRose Jr., and siblings, Eileen Marino and Charles Canessa.


 


The burial took place in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, Pennsylvania.
