Joseph J. Baker Obituary
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Joseph J. Baker, our loving husband, father, grandfather, coach and friend, was peacefully welcomed into his heavenly home.
Born on July 18, 1955, in Germany, Joseph was the cherished son of the late Joseph and Terezia (Wells) Baker. He spent his career dedicated to helping others through his work at Siemens Medical Equipment in Flanders, New Jersey, where he worked until his well-deserved retirement. Outside of his professional life, Joseph had a passion for youth sports and community service, generously giving his free time to volunteer as a local coach. He had the biggest heart and always gave to others before himself. He had a love for animals, music, poker, sports, sarcasm, gardening and a good cup of coffee. Joseph’s greatest joy, however, was his family. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and highschool sweet heart, Terry (Lutz) Baker; his daughter, Krystin (Baker) Ahlstrand; his son, Ryan Baker; his son in law, Dan Ahlstrand, his adored grandson, Hudson Ahlstrand, an aunt and cousins who brought immense light to his life.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337.
Services will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Keith Raser officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Joseph’s honor to The New Pike County Humane Society by visiting (https://pikecountyhumanesociety.org/).
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Stroyan Funeral Home (www.stroyanfuneralhome.com).
