Doris Malanczuk of Lady Lake, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2023, at the age of 92 years old.

Doris was born on December 3, 1929, in Astoria, New York to the late Walter W. Heine and Anna Hederman Heine. She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, Rick Malanczuk and his wife Christina of Houston, Texas, Rhonda Scheiterle and her husband Bill of Inverness, Florida, Laraine Holmes and her husband, Bill of Newtown, Connecticut and Gregg Malanczuk of Daytona Beach, Florida. She also had two grandchildren, Chrysanthi Trahanas and Brittany Malanczuk and two great grandchildren, Ava Hummel-Spriull and Waylon Trahanas and many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her beloved brother, Walter N. Heine.

Doris and her family moved to Milford, Pennsylvania where she attended school and graduated from Milford High School. She then went to Mt. Sinai school of Nursing in New York, New York where she graduated in 1952. Doris married Fred Malanczuk later that year. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Milford, Pennsylvania.

Most of her nursing career was spent at New York Hospital Medical Center, Westchester Division in White Plains, New York where she reached the position of Nursing Supervisor and had a very rewarding career and retired after 30 years of service. Upon retiring, Doris moved to The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida. She attended and was an active member of The North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, Florida.

Doris enjoyed reading mysteries, playing bridge and watching old movies. She was a member of the Red Hat Society for many years and loved to travel. Doris will be deeply missed by her family and will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Graveside services will be held at the Milford Cemetery, Milford, Pennsylvania 11 AM on Friday, June 26, 2026.
