Walter W. Prigge, 82, of Shohola, PA passed away at home on Friday, July 30, 2021. He worked as the Chief Assessor for Pike County, PA and was a Stone Mason.
Walter was a devout member of the St Jacobi Lutheran Church, Shohola, PA, Lions Club, Shohola, PA and the Shohola Fire Department.
He will be remembered for his love of golfing, having completed eight holes in one and was a three-time Port Jervis Country Club Champion. He also enjoyed fishing and card games. He was proudly known as the King of Shohola.
The son of the late Peter and Marie (Burfiendt) Prigge, he was born on March 14, 1939. He was married to Norma (Walter) Prigge.
Walter leaves behind his wife, Norma Prigge; son, Peter Prigge; daughters, Linda Agasar and Nancy Fish; grandchildren, Andrew Agasar, Alexander Agasar, Michael Agasar, Kayla Fish, Cory Fish and Ursula Prigge and brother, Henry Prigge.
Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W Harford St., Milford, PA on August 2, 2021, from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM on August 3, 2021 at St Jacobi Lutheran Church, 108 Glen Dr, Shohola, PA with Rev. Rolf Buchmann officiating.
